Wetwood Rough is an eclectic, toned and considered scheme that reflects the multifaceted character of a charming rural location in the heart of the Surrey countryside. It is a tactile progression of texture, character and colour, that leads through the open-plan space, culminating in spectacular views from the drawing room.
Upon entry, the black and gold feature light, from Martin Eden, sets the tone for this delightful home. The spacious reception showcases the bespoke credenza with its elegant curves alongside the co-ordinating floor standing mirror set in oiled American Walnut, perfectly placed for a quick glance before one leaves home.
It is this combination of both custom-made and carefully selected finishes with the addition of the clients’ own sentimental personal objects which encompass the look and feel throughout.
Key features include polished concrete floors and back painted glass kitchen doors. Moving through the space via the elevated walkway, is the informal snug with comfortable sofas from Camerich in sophisticated greys. The fireplace wall is ensconced in metallic-effect polished plaster by Henry Van Der Vijver.
Stepping down into the formal dining space ones eye meets the dramatic yet delicate Terzani light fitting which refracts the light beautifully.
The calm elegance of the drawing room is understatedluxury, personified with grey oak timber floor throughout and floor to ceiling glass. This is set against indulgent soft furnishings, fur throws and classic Eames furniture pieces.
The bespoke lacquered TV stand has integrated storage and complementary joinery in American walnut which completes the look of this exceptional home will be enjoyed for many years to come.
