Countryside school benefits from Canjaere Classic Timber Cladding

  • 2 Jun 2016

Canjaere Classic Timber Cladding has been used in the construction of a new sports hall and performing arts centre at Manor Lodge Independent School.

Designed by the Aedifice Partnership, and constructed by T & B Contractors, the new complex was completed over a 50-week period.

The design features a steel frame; brick and timber cladding, along with a sedum roof, has been used to provide a natural finish, complementing the Radlett countryside area in which the building is located.

A. Proctor Group’s Canjaere Classic Timber Cladding was used in a bespoke black colourway. The timber is a popular choice for education projects: it is treated to ensure protection against moisture and supported by a 30-year maintenance warranty against rot and decay.

Whilst manufactured in a range of natural colour finishes, the product was specified in black to complement the aesthetics of the school’s surrounding area. It is available in three profile finishes – Arden, Channel and Tongue and Groove – and supplemented by a variety of colour matched trims and accessories.
