Each year, Crown Paints invites a panel of its designers, colourists and trend forecasters to discuss how global events, social and economic changes, and trends in fashion and interiors design will shape the colour landscape for the year ahead for its Colour Influences programme.

‘Out of the Dark’ – the first of the three palettes selected for its Colour Influences Autumn/Winter 2016 collection – relies on the use of dark blacks and charcoal greys to make a strong colour statement, interrupted by contrasting bright yellow, pink and orange tones.

The second palette, ‘Skyscapes’ (pictured top), takes inspiration from the natural landscape, using layers of tonal colours including blues greys and chalky neutrals, described by Crown as “a subtle nod to clouds, mist and rocks.”

Crown Paints’ final palette is entitled ‘Faded Berries’, a moody and robust palette which sets deep heather tones against mossy and grassy greens, complemented by neutral accents which bring a softness to the overall aesthetic.
