Crown Paints introduces new Walls & Ceilings collection

  • 5 Aug 2022

Crown Paints has unveiled its new Walls & Ceilings range, the latest addition to its extensive paint offering, helping everyone paint their own possible.

Comprising 80 colours, including 30 new shades and eight key trend colours, the Walls & Ceilings range is the first paint range in the UK to be awarded Vegan Verification by independent testing house, Eurousfins.

The thick and creamy paint goes on easily and covers beautifully, and combined with Crown’s signature breatheasy® 99% solvent-free formulation, the range limits exposure to airborne triggers of asthma and allergy, helping to create a healthier space for the whole family.

Crown are pushing what’s possible even further with 100% recycled packaging, offering colour that’s kinder for people and planet.

With new colour additions, Crown’s team of experienced specialists have moved towards more muted tones for a modern home, from dark, rich hues which provide a cocooning space such as Ruby Chocolate™, to light, calming tones to create a space with a clean, light, airy feel such as Botanical Extract®.

Crown has also introduced eight new trend colours, giving everyone the confidence to refresh their home with the most fashion-forward hues.

The new Walls & Ceilings range offers the broadest colour offering in the standard coloured emulsion paint market and comes in either a matt or silk finish.

Kathryn Lloyd, Colour Specialist at Crown, says: “When reviewing our colour palette, we always take into consideration emerging trends and influences.

“Our new Walls & Ceilings colour collection is a reflection of those drivers. We looked at design and fashion shows, new innovations in product and interiors, and many other factors that can influence peoples’ behaviours and needs.

“That knowledge allowed us to create a colour collection that answers customers’ current demands and desires, highlighting key trend colours to push what’s possible.”

In collaboration with Yorkshire-based artist, Paperface, the new collection has also been given a packaging facelift. This is the first time in several years that the historic British brand has updated its packaging to reflect its growing customer-base.

Abi Langridge, AKA Paperface, says: “Designing the packaging for Crown’s most popular range was a fantastic opportunity. This was a great chance to give it a fresh feel and bring it right up to date for today’s DIYer, I wanted it to be a celebration of freedom, freshness and fun.

“For the starting point we looked at Crown’s brand purpose – there are so many positive and playful phrases and I love the idea of putting pots of potential into the hands of everyone and inspiring people to paint their world better, braver and ‘beautifuller’.”

Katie McLean, Marketing Director for Crown UK and Ireland, says: “We are incredibly excited to unveil our new Walls & Ceilings collection, our first paint range to be awarded Vegan Verification.

“To inspire a younger market, we wanted to produce a colour palette that allows consumers to paint their own possible; the new Walls & Ceilings range does just that. Comprising 80 colours including eight key trend colours, the collection will support our customers to experiment more with colour and bring their homes to life.

“With our bold packaging re-design, it was important to us to partner and support a British artist and Abi Langridge (AKA Paperface) was the perfect fit.

“Paperface brought our Walls & Ceilings packaging to life with eye-catching illustrations to reflect the power of paint and its ability to change a room, change a mood and even change a life. She has helped us break free from the conventions of boring paint packaging so our products really stand out on the shelf and more accurately reflect what we stand for as a brand.”
