Hoppecke batteries helps Crown Paints meet goal to cut greenhouse gases

  • 1 May 2018

Crown Paints has recently been working hard to cut its greenhouse gas emissions significantly with help from Hoppecke Industrial Batteries.

With a goal of cutting greenhouse gas emissions by 25% by 2020, Crown was keen to install a system that improved its environmental impact.

The leader in industrial battery systems has provided Crown with batteries and chargers for use on a fleet of seven Flexi articulated very narrow aisle forklift trucks that have been supplied by Narrow Aisle.

The integrated battery power management system from Hopppecke minimises energy consumption due to rapid charging and maximises productivity by removing the need to charge batteries while they are on the trucks.

Jason Howlett, Hoppecke’s Regional Managing Director for Northern Europe, comments: “Hoppecke has always been an environmentally-focused company and combines this with a solid commitment to enable our customers to keep on improving their productivity. We are thrilled to be involved in this major installation and to be playing our part in helping one of the world’s leading paint manufacturers to meet its environmental targets as well as its efficiency goals.”
