Nordic design recently took centre stage at the Embassy of Denmark in the UK, with Crown Paints donating 50 litres of Crown Trade Matt Vinyl Emulsion to its stunning exhibition space.
This was part of this year’s London Design Fair, in which Crown helped to showcase Danish style and culture.
The Danish Living exhibition celebrated the country’s tradition of high quality and exceptional design throughout the London Design Fair, which took place from the 19 – 22 September.
Crown Paints is part of the Hempel Group, which has its HQ in Copenhagen, and was keen to honour its Danish links by supplying paint for the exhibition’s walls and ceiling.
Having worked with Crown Paints on last year’s London Design Fair, the organisers of Danish Living wanted to work with the company again – this time involving the leading paint supplier earlier on in the process, and including Crown branding on the stand.
This year, the Danish Living exhibition’s design was based around the popular hygge style – incorporating elements of both indoor and outdoor Danish living – along with the calming colours associated with nature and our planet.
Crown Paints supplied paint for the exhibition space through NIMTECH, a social enterprise based at its Lancashire headquarters which aims to reduce waste and promote recycling, so that the company’s involvement was in alignment with Danish Living’s nod to the environment and sustainability.
The popular exhibition saw hundreds of visitors each day throughout the London Design Fair, so high quality Crown Trade Matt Vinyl Emulsion proved to be the ideal choice for keeping the space’s matt finish looking in top condition despite experiencing high footfall.
Josie Cawdry, corporate communications executive at Crown Paints, commented: “At Crown Paints we’re proud to be a part of the Hempel Group, so we were delighted to be involved in this year’s Danish Living exhibition at the London Design Fair.
“To provide a combination of the desired colours and a true flat matt finish we supplied Crown Trade Matt Vinyl Emulsion, which is quick drying and offers good colour retention.
“The exhibition proved to be a hit with visitors once again this year, and we’re proud to have our paints used in its creation.”
