Crown Paints ups the colour game

  • 19 Jul 2019

Following a social media competition, Crown Paints is now sponsoring four grassroots football teams, which includes providing them with brand new kits.

Crown Trade and Crown Decorating Centres recently ran a competition on its social media channels. Each week for four weeks, Crown posted a colourful graphic of an international football team kit – France, Belgium, Nigeria and Colombia – which were all rendered using Crown Paints’ colours. Those entering the competition simply had to correctly guess the name of the team and comment the answer, along with the name of a local grassroots football team which they felt deserved sponsorship.

Consequently, four football teams were selected at random. The winning teams – AFC Sharrow (Sheffield), Linfield Ladies Youth Academy (Belfast), St Andrews Boys Club (Greenock) and Morden Little League (Sutton) – have now received a year’s sponsorship from Crown Paints, with stylish new kits.

Lindsay Hall, brand manager at Crown Paints, comments: “We have a long history of supporting community projects, so we’re really pleased to have been able to sponsor four very deserving grassroots football teams as part of our Crown’s Colourful Kits competition.

“We wish AFC Sharrow, Linfield Ladies Youth Academy, St Andrews Boys Club, and Morden Little League the best of luck this season, and we’re looking forward to seeing how the teams will do over the next year.”

Be sure to follow Crown Trade and Crown Decorating Centres on Facebook and Twitter for updates on the winning teams throughout the season.
