Crown Paints has recently provided the backdrop to the Danish Living Room at this year’s London Design Fair (Sept 20th-24th) by donating 70 litres of Crown Trade Extreme Scrubbable Matt in a range of colours.
The Danish Living Room was hosted by the Embassy of Denmark in the UK to celebrate the country’s strong tradition of high quality and inspirational design. As Crown Paints is part of the Hempel Group, which has its headquarters in Copenhagen, the company was keen to pay homage to its own Danish heritage by supplying the paint for the walls and ceilings of the stand.
Crown developed a bespoke colour palette was devised to decorate several individual areas of the stand. Crown recommended the use of its high-performance Clean Extreme Scrubbable Matt. Combining high opacity and colour vibrancy, Crown Trade’s Clean Extreme Scrubbable Matt has been specifically formulated to be as durable as possible.
After a successful few days at the London Design Fair the walls and ceilings needed to be painted back to their original colour and so Crown was once again happy to assist by supplying its Clean Extreme Scrubbable Matt. As the exhibition space is used for many different events, the long-lasting and high quality finished offered by Clean Extreme Scrubbable Matt will not only help keep the venue looking cleaner and brighter for longer but will also help reduce future maintenance requirements.
Rachel Mitchell, group marketing communications manager at Hempel, comments on the project: “The Danish Living Room was one of the highlights of the London Design Fair and we are extremely proud to have our own paints used in its creation. We wanted to provide a practical solution but also one that enhanced the unique feel of the stand and our Crown Trade’s Clean Extreme Scrubbable Matt provided the ideal combination of creative colour and ease of maintenance.”
