Leading paint brand Crown Paints will be returning to this year’s Procurement for Housing (PfH) Live conference event, taking place in Manchester.
The industry event will be held from 28 – 30 June as part of the annual Chartered Institute of Housing event.
ESG, compliance and innovation will steer this year’s sessions, with a host of keynote speakers providing guidance, best practice and a knowledge sharing platform for attendees.
Showcasing their latest initiatives including colour expertise, sustainable solutions and specialist coatings, Crown Paints will take up position on stand p115.
As part of this, the paint manufacturer will be offering visitors the chance to find out more about Crown’s commitment to making a positive difference to both people and the planet, including its Can Back initiative.
The Can Back scheme recycles tonnes of plastic and metal paint cans each year. So far this year, the scheme has returned 139,442 empty paint cans and overall, has saved an estimated 8,000 tonnes of paint cans from going to landfill.
Registered social landlords and specifiers will also be able to learn about Crown’s digital home decorating pack ordering portal, which is designed to save time and improve efficiencies.
The scheme is available for delivery via the nationwide network of Crown Decorating Centres. There is a choice of Home Decorating Packs available, and each is tailored to provide flexible, cost-effective schemes for various property types.
Crown will also showcase its range of interior and exterior paints and specialist coatings, while offering advice on specification support packages, appropriate colour schemes and product specification.
There will be an opportunity to explore some of Crown’s top housing sector products, including Crown Trade’s Timonox, a flame retardant paint system that inhibits the spread of fire. Other innovative products on display will be Crown Trade’s Clean Extreme range of highly durable and scrubbable paints which have been developed to tackle to the common maintenance problems of stains, mould and bacteria.
Laura Crossey, PFH Account Manager at Crown Paints, says: “After a break due to the pandemic, we’re looking forward to reconnecting with attendees at this year’s PfH Live and sharing the very latest information about Crown’s colour and specification services.
“It will also be a chance to update delegates on the various commitments we have made to help our planet flourish and enable our customers to make more responsible choices, including ensuring 100% of plastic paint containers contain an element of PCW by 2025.
“We’re also committed to challenging and leading developments in our waste management and circular economy, as well as growing our use of bio-sourced raw materials and introducing sustainable tester packaging. Throughout our manufacturing operations, we are committed towards achieving zero carbon emissions by 2025.”
Co-located with ‘Housing 2022’, which is Chartered Institute of Housing’s annual conference and Europe’s leading housing festival, PfH Live provides a platform for key stakeholders to come together to discuss, debate, partner, learn and improve the lives of the people they house.
