ArtGen benefits from CW 50-HI curtain walling

CW 50-HI curtain walling specified for prestigious Prague development

Reynaers’ aluminium CW 50-HI system has been specified to create a thermally-insulated art space and office complex in Prague’s historic Holešovice district.

Consisting of two separate buildings, the contemporary office complex, which was developed by PPF Real Estate in conjunction with CMC architects, offers 23,000 square metres of leasable units.

It has been dubbed ArtGen: at nine storeys high, the ‘Art’ building detaches the quiet residential area, which sits behind the complex, from Prague’s busy Argentinská Street, whilst ‘Gen’ comprises three six-storey blocks, connected into one structure.

ArtGen has benefited from a new variant of Reynaers’ CW 50-HI system: featuring upgraded insulation panels, the improved system can achieve an insulation value of 0.56 W/m2K with a glass thickness of 60mm.

Provided with standard glazing gaskets, the aluminium curtain walling system can be specified with heavy duty triple glazing of up to a 61mm maximum. This makes it suitable for use on low-energy buildings.

The new system offers varying levels of fire resistance and thermal insulation, whilst additional features include a top hung window, a parallel opening window and a hidden vent turn and tilt window.
