Decorating specialist recognised as Investors in People Champion

Dulux Decorator Centre have been accredited by Investors in People for over ten years. The decorating specialists recently applied for the Champion status to encourage good working practice in its network of over 180 stores across the UK and Northern Ireland.

Investors in People has been operating for more than 20 years working with over 100,000 businesses. It uses its accreditation framework to boost working culture, increase employee engagement and encourage better leadership.

Investors in People assessed a variety of Dulux Decorator Centre’s strengths; including its clear purpose, vision and emerging strategy, its values being at the heart of the company and the overall effectiveness in leading, managing and developing people.

The assessors also pinpointed its focus on learning and development needs, plans and resources and people feeling their individual contribution is valued, in addition to the promotion of culture ownership and responsibility.

Lisa Morley, HR Business Partner at Dulux Decorator Centre, hopes the company can continue to share its experiences with other organisations, and learn from them to encourage good practice and support continuous improvement.
