Delta Membrane Systems Limited announces that it is on the shortlist at the 2023 CN Specialist Awards in the ‘Innovation of the Year (Non-Contractor)’ category for Delta MS 500 Fire Retardant. This is the company’s fifth year of being named as finalists.
Delta is a finalist for their innovative BBA certified Delta MS 500 Fire Retardant Membrane System.
Delta MS 500 Fire Retardant Membrane is an extremely effective Type C, cavity drained protection waterproofing system with a fire classification of B-s2, d0. This is the first Fire Retardant Type C Membrane System to be launched in the UK market.
Paying attention to waterproofing products which offer protection in event of fire is not the norm, but the benefits of doing so are not quite as crazy as it sounds.
Delta MS 500 Fire Retardant System is about putting people’s safety first along with future proofing structures. How we design, build, maintain a waterproofing solution and look after the safety of the buildings we live or work in, protecting those that use them.
Fires can start in unpredictable ways at unpredictable times. A fundamental character of fire safety is the ability for occupants of a building to evacuate, in the event of fire to a place of ultimate or total safety.
Delta MS 500 Fire Retardant system plays a key role in improving the safety performance of a structure, by increasing time for the buildings occupants to escape and potentially save lives.
Given the importance of a building’s performance, it is critical that below ground waterproofing solutions are compatible with one another and the structure itself. Product and material compatibility are crucial for successful structural waterproofing approaches.
To decide the winners, all finalists will attend face-to-face judging by the CN Specialist Judging panel of more than 60 judges, made up from the UK’s largest construction firms and the leaders of the country’s major projects.
