Delta covers new amendment to BS8485:2015

Delta Membrane Systems Limited makes amendments to reflect the introduction of BS 8485:2015+A1:2019.

BS 8485:2015+A1:2019 comes as an update to BS 8485:2015, offering an essential guide in many areas of the building industry, including architects, engineers and contractors as well as ground gas protection membrane manufacturers and suppliers.

The updated guidelines are focused on the inclusion of recommendations as to revising recommendations. Revisions and updates include changes to CS points values by building type (Table 4), amendments to Table 5 in relation to basements, modifications in Table 7 and Annex C in relation to gas protection membranes and selection thereof, to name a few.

Delta Membrane Systems Limited has amended its Ground Gas Protection training courses to reflect these new updates within the standards and their recommendations.

Delta’s Ground Gas Protection Systems are fully compliant to BS 8485:2015+A1:2019. As every project is unique in terms of size, construction type, building use and ground gas protection system.

It is recommended that every design team incorporates a suitably competent person with appropriate Ground Gas Protection knowledge at the earliest phase of the project in order that an integrated solution is created.
