Delta Membrane Systems Limited has announced that its seminar entitled Flood Resilience is now officially a RIBA approved CPD seminar.
The CPD seminar will last 45 minutes, allowing individuals to remain up to date with changes in practice and standards so that they can make informed decisions about which products to specify for their projects.
The RIBA CPD accredited seminar is designed to provide practical insights in to flood resilience, resistance and recoverability technology and covers important topics such as the environmental benefits of flood resilience, resistance and recoverability, assessments of flood water entering buildings (BS85500:2015), specification considerations, design principles, how flood resilience, resistance and recoverability measures work, as well understanding the different types of flood events.
Kevin Dodds, Delta’s Director in charge of Business Development and Training, comments: “The session will provide all the information and knowledge needed, from an integrated approach, on the solutions for Flood Resilience, Resistance and Recoverability at design and specification stage and we hope that by the end of the seminar participants will have gained confidence in specifying an integrated solution for Flood Resilience, Resistance and Recoverability measures.”
“As Manufacturers of waterproofing solutions and designs we have extensive knowledge of water ingress and how it naturally performs in below ground structures, water in a flood situation performs in a very similar mannerism to how it reacts underground in basement scenarios where we have our expertise.”
The flood resilience house was aimed to highlight flood resilience measures, utilising technology already in existence and adapting it to provide a robust solution.
