UK Construction Week will offer visiting tradesmen a host of benefits that will help them increase profits and develop their skills.
Manufacturers and suppliers will be offering exclusive deals and discounts, in addition to promoting on going development opportunities.
Futhermore, the event’s comprehensive seminar content has been specifically designed to increase industry productivity and profitability with a central focus on skills, practical business advice and legislation updates.
For example, the Site Zone – taking place as part of the Build Show – is a dedicated area for installers and engineers.
The Site Zone will feature a hands-on interactive experience with training, workshops and demonstrations on getting projects, managing cash flow, successful apprenticeship schemes, accessing government funding and practical ways to save time and money on site.
The exhibit will also feature bidding workshops, exploring opportunities in the self-build and a communications masterclass to educate SME builders the fundamentals of PR, marketing and social media.
To help tradesmen find out which vehicle is best suited to their business needs, UK Construction Week will also feature a commercial vehicle test drive for delegates to sample vehicles from a number of different manufacturers.
Visitors can book a 30 minute test drive, completing a three mile test circuit in and around the NEC.
Richard Morey, Group Events Director at Media 10, the company producing UK Construction Week, commented: “Our aim for UK Construction Week is for it to be a worthwhile day out for professionals at every level in the industry. Because of this, we have specifically designed the content of the show to be as practical and relevant as possible.
When this is combined with the special deals and calibre of exhibitors signed up to the show, the outcome is an event that is in every tradesmen’s best interest to attend.”
Scheduled to take place between 6th – 11th October (with trade days running until the 8th), the event will also feature networking opportunities including a casino night and beer festival.
The casino night will be held at the recently opened Genting International Casino at Resorts World Birmingham – offering a chance for visitors and exhibitors to try their luck at a few games of American Roulette, Blackjack and Baccarat.
There will also be a UK Construction Week Poker Tournament, with players competing to win a £500 Prize Fund.
Opening at 12pm on each of the trade days, the beer festival will feature a wide range of traditional, local and rare craft ales, in addition to a variety of entertainment and live music from across the UK.
Featuring nine shows and 1,000 exhibitors at the Birmingham NEC, UK Construction Week is expected to attract an expected audience of 55,000 visitors.
