Direct Trade has selected Pilkington United Kingdom Limited, as its primary glass supplier, including for Pilkington energiKare insulating sealed glass units for all of the windows, doors and conservatory walls it fabricates
Yorkshire based Direct Trade has already offered Pilkington energiKare energy-efficient glazing as standard for over 10 years, but this is the first time a partnering agreement has been signed between the two brands.
Steve Green, Managing Director of Direct Trade: As a forward thinking fabricator we were one of the first to achieve an A Window Energy Rating under the BFRC scheme. We strive to lower the U-value on all products to ensure our installer base can provide their customers with added value, energy efficient doors and windows which keep the heat where it belongs in their home. Incorporating the Pilkington energiKare range of products into our offering has played an important part in successfully achieving this. Rising energy prices are a real concern for homeowners, so the demand for high quality, efficient glazing has understandably intensified. We make it our business to only work with those components which will give our products the best possible U-values and found Pilkington energiKare to be the ideal solution for glass.
John Spiby, domestic products national sales manager at Pilkington United Kingdom Limited: Direct Trade has a leading reputation in the market, and the fact that the business has selected Pilkington energiKare is testament to the value and quality it delivers, as well as the appeal of the brand to trade customers and homeowners alike. We take a great deal of pride in the technical expertise that goes into developing our products, with the aim of making it as easy as possible for our fabricator customers to sell. This deal is evidence that this strategy is working.
Pilkington energiKare double glazing uses advanced coatings, glass mixtures and gas-filled cavities to minimise heat loss and allow more of the sun’s energy to enter the building.
