Safeguard has extended its Drybase Damp-Proof Coatings range to include the Drybase Flex Membrane. The new addition can be directly applied to floors and walls that have been affected by penetrating dampness.
When it comes to tackling penetrating damp and creating damp-proof courses, the Drybase Damp-Proof Coatings range offers a variety of solutions, ideal for use in applications with access issues.
The range offers protection for building materials and interior surfaces when it is not possible to shield them from the sources of dampness, such as rain penetration or rising damp.
The collection has been designed to tackle a range of damp problems, from those affecting small residential properties to those causing long-lasting damage in large industrial buildings.
Safeguard’s new Drybase Flex Membrane is a low-profile, sheet membrane solution. The watertight product offers a means of protection against moisture ingress and persistent damp.
At 1.5mm thick, the membrane is a polypropylene sheet with a fleeced surface on both sides. The fleeces ensure good adhesion to the wall, enabling direct plastering onto the product.
It can be applied using Safeguard’s specially-formulated Drybase Flex Adhesive, eliminating the need for power tools and the manual fixing of pegged membranes. The adhesive is a polymer modified, cement-based product, which is supplied in powder form for mixing with water.
The flexibility of the Drybase Flex Membrane allows for building movement, without compromising the integrity of its structure.
