Dulux Trade Ultra Matt showcases Brutalist architecture

  • 24 Nov 2014

Dulux Trade Ultra Matt, Diamond Matt and Diamond Eggshell were chosen to preserve the building’s characteristics, which includes an open-plan L-shaped living and dining room, as well as a brail-tile effect wall.

Ultra Matt was specified for the ceiling in order to counter light reflections in the open plan space, whilst Diamond Matt was applied to the walls.

Dulux Trade Ultra Matt is designed to prevent any reflections from natural or artificial light and conceal any undulations in the ceiling’s plaster, providing an easy to apply product that helps to retain the characteristics of the minimalist, Brutalist design.

Diamond Matt in pure Brilliant White was applied on walls to produce a striking look that is ten times more durable than standard Vinyl Matt and will not become worn over a period of time.

Dulux Trade Diamond Eggshell was used for the feature wall in Dusted Moss 3, providing a tough and mid sheen finish that ties in well with the brail tile effect and produces a quick-drying and low odour solution.

Homeowner Richard said: “The ceiling and walls have a crisp, clean finish and, with the subtle accent lighting in the room, look good at any time of the day.”
