EcoTherm PrO-Soffit Plus offers Class O fire performance

  • 13 Jan 2016

Solihull’s new Asda store has benefited from the installation of EcoTherm’s PrO-Soffit Plus boards, which offer Class O rated fire performance.

Asda Shirley is part of Solihull’s Parkgate shopping complex, which comprises a series of restaurants, shops and bars. It was designed and delivered by Nicol Thomas and BAM Construction respectively.

As part of the project, Fire Integrity was contracted to install 15,000 square metres of EcoTherm PrO-Soffit Plus in the store’s underground car park.

As part of EcoTherm’s PrO range of boards, PrO-Soffit Plus has been developed to reduce heat loss and provide Class O fire performance in a single application.

The boards are suitable for new and refurbishment applications to semi-exposed soffits, such as structural ceilings for basements or car parks. A fine toothed saw can be used to cut the boards to size.

PrO-Soffit Plus’ fibre-free, rigid insulation core allows each board to achieve a lover thermal conductivity than standard PIR insulation products of 0.021 W/m.K. The core is produced with a CFC/HCFC free blowing agent, which boasts zero Ozone Depletion Potential and low Global Warming Potential.

They can be specified with a range of pre-bonded, non-combustible building board facings to suit the varying requirements of individual projects.
