Encasement column casings – versatility, style & choice

  • 5 Jul 2022

The demands of architects and specifiers seeking to create stylish finishes on a diverse range of building interior and exterior projects are the main drivers behind the versatility and extensive choice available within the Encasement column casing range.

A key element in the design freedom provided by the range is the choice of materials available to meet different specifications and applications.

From Circa and Quadra pre-formed MDF/ply casings, through to Polyma GRPGypra GRG and the Forma metal range, each allows an array of specification options to be accommodated, including shapes, sizes and finishes.

Available in aluminium or stainless steel, Forma casings can be specified in circular, square, rectangular or hexagonal forms, as well as unique customer profiles. The wide choice of finishes includes PPC coatings, plus numerous brushed, anodised, embossed and textured options.

Durability and colour choice are also features of Polyma GRP moulded casings. This method of production allows a high degree of design versatility with shape; size and colour options all open to specification to meet bespoke project requirements, as well as standard profile options.

Case studies

Projects such as Kia Motors’ flagship London showroom and Cardiff’s Premier Inn (pictured below) together with Coventry Rail Station and Birmingham Dental Hospital, have all taken advantage of the design versatility provided by the material and finish options alongside the company’s bespoke manufacturing capabilities, which enable specific project requirements to be met.

Circa and Quadra MDF/ply casings are designed purely for interior use and are manufactured from UKTR-compliant sustainably sourced materials. A wide choice of finish options is available with decorative high-pressure laminate (HPL) being the most popular.

Used extensively in a broad range of sectors, including transport, health, education, retail, hotel and leisure, as well as commercial refurbishment and building re-purposing projects, the column casings range also offers the option of standard or bespoke manufactured solutions.

Alongside its wide product range, a supply and install service is also offered by Encasement, which enables the company to maintain complete control over the installation while also providing dedicated solutions to meet the specifications and requirements of any column casing project.
