Energy efficient windows fitted as part of £200,000 investment

  • 13 Oct 2014

The work was carried out over a six week period after architects JP Associates specified bespoke frames which were manufactured in Scandinavia and finished with a blue coating.

Novus staff removed and fitted the windows from the exterior of the category A listed building using mobile elevated working platforms to manage the weight of the frames as part of an ongoing partnership with Home Scotland.

The team repaired damaged stonework on the 19th century building, supplied and fitted bespoke blinds at the properties whilst carrying out internal and external decoration works.

Challenges such as the heavy timber window frames and an occupied building were overcome by the team by regular communication with Home Scotland.

The investment in modern energy efficient windows ensures that residents are comfortable in their homes during harsh winter weather.
