Expona Commercial flooring at Surf Snowdonia Adventure Parc

Expona Commercial flooring specified for surfing lagoon

  • 27 Jul 2016

Vinyl tiles from Polyflor’s Expona Commercial PUR range have been fitted inside the visitor centre at Surf Snowdonia Adventure Parc.

As the world’s first inland surfing lagoon, Surf Snowdonia is currently one of North Wales’ most popular tourist attractions.

Built on the site of a former aluminium rolling and casting works, the centre features a man-made freshwater wave lagoon. It is located in the Conwy Valley, on the edge of Snowdonia National Park.

Expona Commercial flooring

Around 700 square metres of Expona Commercial vinyl tile flooring was specified for the centre’s Surf Side Café, and the shop inside its HUB Building.

The product was installed by JDP Flooring in Polyflor’s Weathered Country Plank design; highlighted knots and emphasised grain detailing create a rustic, timber effect, which complements the building’s outdoors interior design scheme.

Polyflor’s Expona Commercial collection comprises 55 wood and stone effect designs, which have been developed for use in heavy commercial environments.

The range is hardwearing, offering foot traffic resistance with a 2.5mm gauge and a 0.55 wear layer. The flooring is further enhanced with Polyflor’s polyurethane reinforcement, PUR, which is cross linked and UV cured to enable a straightforward maintenance regime.
