Fernox, the chemical water treatment and filter manufacturer, has made two new appointments to its sales team.

Chris Broadbent has been appointed Area Sales Manager for Yorkshire and the North East while Jim Canning has joined Fernox as Area Sales Manager for the West Midlands.

Chris has over 20 years of experience within the plumbing and heating section in a variety of sales and managerial positions, including the role of Branch Manager at Plumbing Trade Supplies (PTS) in Leeds.

Chris later joined Siemens Heating Controls in 2010, where he spent five years developing new business opportunities across all market disciplines as an Account Manager.

As Area Sales Manager at Fernox, Chris will be challenged to expand the business in Yorkshire and the North East. His taste will include facilitating specifications and sales, as well as building strong relationships with merchants, contractors, social housing providers and specifiers.

He commented: “Chemical water treatment and filtration devices have a key role to play in making our homes and buildings more energy efficient, as well as extending the lifespan of vital system components.

Fernox is an innovative company with a comprehensive and market leading portfolio, which makes my role here a very exciting prospect.”

Jim Canning also joins Fernox as an Area Sales Manager for the West Midlands, bringing with him over 10 years industry experience in key account management, having held a variety of senior roles at Wolseley, Stelrad Radiators and Grundfos.

Jim will aid technical specifications and develop existing client relations in the region.

He commented: “I’ve always been impressed with the performance and reliability of Fernox products. Already this year, the company has launched the ground-breaking Fernox Filter Fluid+ Protector – the first chemical water treatment of its kind.

I am delighted to join such an innovating company and will work closely with customers to ensure they understand the full technical capabilities of our products.”
