Fibo wall panels help Fayers maximise sales opportunities

Fayers Plumbing & Building Supplies has seen an immediate boost in sales after installing Fibo’s wall panels in its showroom at Buckhurst Hill, Essex.

The independent merchant added displays of Fibo’s Scandinavian Tile Effect, Contemporary Tile Effect, Signature and Timeless wall panels when it refurbished both floors of its two-storey showroom.

Prior to the revamp, Fayers did not sell tiles, and would not have considered selling wall panels, but the style and quality of Fibo’s offering has resulted in a change of attitude, and that of its builder customers.

Ken Beney, Managing Director of Fayers, commented: “We have never supplied traditional tiles as they are difficult and time consuming to deal with, requiring specialist skills to fit – so we were missing that add-on sales opportunity.

“Fibo has filled this gap. The high-performance wall panels are easy to install, as well as being a great looking, quality product. As soon as we’d finished our Fibo displays, we began getting enquiries and selling to builders who could see the opportunity straight away.

“Based on the success we’ve had with Fibo’s wall panels here, we are planning to display them in our showroom in New Barnet too, which is due to be extended and refurbished soon.”

Fayers’ displays give customers the opportunity to see the wall panels in context. Ken added: “This is a new type of product for our customers, and sales are going well.

“We are located in an affluent area, but Fibo’s panels appeal to customers across a range of budgets as they are reasonably priced and offer homeowners a quick and convenient option for updating their bathroom décor.

“They can be fitted over tiles and easily replaced too – which is also a benefit for us when we want to update our displays.”
