FAKRO’s recently launched ‘ColourLine’ enables any RAL colour from the company’s Classic Palette to be specified for the outer cladding of its flat roof windows.
In 2014, FAKRO introduced its DEF flat window, which re-established the aesthetics for flat roof windows by expanding design opportunities.
The company has since launched ‘ColourLine’, which enables any RAL colour from its Classic Palette to be specified for outer cladding.
FAKRO’s DEF U8 window offers an installed U-value of 0.76 W/m²K; thermally efficient triple or quadruple-glazed options are also available. This ensures that the roof windows are suitable for use in passive house designs, as well as for standard flat roof extensions.
With a glazing area up to 16% greater than other manufacturers’ windows of comparable size, they can also be used to replace existing skylights, improving the availability of natural light.
The interior surfaces of the frame and sash are made from white PVC; all models have a 6mm toughened outer pane, and a P2A anti-burglary laminated inner pane. The electrically operated windows have an in-built sensor to stimulate sash closure when rain is detected.
The servo-motor is situated in the sash and protected to ensure uninterrupted maintenance.
