HI-MACS acrylic stone will be on display at London’s annual 100% Design exhibition for designers and architects, which will take place from September 23-26.
Last year, 100% Design’s organisers acknowledged the HI-MACS stand as one of the best at the exhibition. LG Hausys hopes to receive this recognition for the second time this year.
The 2015 HI-MACS stand will exhibit new products, which have been designed by the German studio, COAST OFFICE ARCHITECTURE, and manufactured using HI-MACS.
Visitors to the stand will be given the opportunity to learn more about HI-MACS, which has been developed to offer durability.
Impact-proof, non-porous and easy to maintain, the acrylic stone is suitable for kitchens, bathrooms, public spaces and entire façades.
The flexibility of HI-MACS will be displayed through architecture and furniture design: two ‘waves’ will rise out of the white floor and transform the stand into a futuristic space-age display, comprising a reception area and lounge.
A corner of the exhibition space will be framed by two black reflective walls to create the illusion of a round structure.
The exhibition has been specifically designed to demonstrate how the solid surface material can be used to create limitless three-dimensional forms.
To contrast the architectural waves, the reception counter and lounge furniture will utilise angled, geometrical shapes. Squares, rectangles, parallelograms and triangles will be enhanced by bold blocks of colour, with white, grey, black and pink shapes extending beyond the individual edges of the furniture.
HI-MACS can be processed without any visible joint lines, which will allow the furniture to flow seamlessly between different colours and shapes.
