Flood resilient new towns, Ecobuild previews + Teapot House for sale
We are expecting recriminations to rise as flood waters recede. However, what we really need is positive solutions to increasingly challenging weather patterns. I was at the Saint-Gobain Innovation Centre in London last week for the latest briefing about Ecobuild 2014 which is on 3-4th March at ExCel in London. Launched a decade ago, Ecobuild brings the industry together to see the latest products that are helping create a sustainable built environment. Housebuilding continues to boost the UK construction output with private sector housebuilding up 5% in Dec, up 21.6% from year earlier. However, if want a real bargain, check out the photo of the Teapot House that is up for sale for just £10,000.
The latest Builders Merchant Building Index (BMBI) report shows builders’ merchants’ value sales in October were up +1.2% compared to the same month last year.
