Food lift Microlift Evo enhances experience at boutique hotel

Stannah’s new Microlift Evo has been installed to improve service at a luxury boutique hotel in Brighton.

Based in Brighton’s Kemptown, the Charm is a 19th century boutique hotel, which has recently been upgraded from a former Bed and Breakfast.

Stannah’s new Microlift Evo was fitted to meet the goods-handling requirements of the venue.

With the capacity to move loads of up to 50kg, Stannah’s Microlift Evo has been designed to transport goods, such as food, drink and tableware, vertically.

Walled within its own enclosure, the food lift has been fitted to transport goods between the Charm’s ground-floor dining room and its lower-ground kitchen. As the lift is supplied within its own structure, it was not necessary to install a shaft; this would have negotiated the historic integrity of the Grade II Listed property.

Whilst offering improved service for guests and customers, the lift also protects employees from the pressures of manual handling, enhancing the Charm’s health and safety credentials.

Improving on Stannah’s renowned Microlifts, which are popular throughout Europe, the Microlift Evo is available in a variety of sizes. New controls and different programming options allow for ease and flexibility of application.

The lift is covered by Stannah’s lift service plan, which includes three visits in the first year of use, following installation. The package offers continued lift maintenance, which will be carried out by the Southern England branch of Stannah Lift Services for the Charm.
