  • 22 Sep 2017

ASSA ABLOY UK is encouraging architects, property owners and facilities managers to sign up for its upcoming fire door safety event, hosted in conjunction with West Midlands Fire Service.

‘It’s Time To Talk About Fire Doors’ will take place at the West Midland Fire Service’s Birmingham-based headquarters on Thursday 28th September.

The free event will run as part of Fire Door Safety Week, a national initiative designed by the British Woodworking Federation to raise awareness about third-party certified doors and the important, life-saving roles they can play.

Registration will begin at 9:30am, with the event scheduled to start at 9:45am. It will finish at 12:30pm, followed by lunch, and a chance to network with speakers and other delegates.

Fire door safety

The event aims to present construction professionals with the opportunity to improve their knowledge of fire door safety, covering the common issues faced by those involved in building design, development and maintenance.

Representatives from West Midlands Fire Service and ASSA ABLOY UK will also discuss how fire doors may change in the future, and consider the impact these changes might have on users.
