The Clerkenwell Design Week event last month saw Geberit give visitors the opportunity to see the launch of its new ‘Science Behind the Sensory Space’ campaign for public and private bathrooms.
The campaign follows a research study by Geberit which found people now experience a ‘world of distractions’, with 73% of people struggling to find time to relax and 78% of people recognising they spend more time online than they do sleeping.
This new campaign from Geberit coincides with the unveiling of a new white paper which discusses the importance of sight, sound, scent and touch in a bathroom. The paper not only covers ceramics and furniture, but also behind the wall functionality such as piping, frames and drainage.
The launch saw Geberit partner and renowned British neuroscientist, Dr Jack Lewis explain the key ingredients required for a bathroom that invigorates the senses and can transform a functional space into one that offers respite and calm.
Geberit industrial design expert Ian Randle said: “Our innovative ideas and pioneering technologies focussed on well-being have created a wealth of opportunities for architects and designers to develop inspiring spaces that blend high-quality design with superior functionality and innovative engineering.”
