The Glass and Glazing Federation has announced that it will be the headline sponsor of this year’s Glazing Summit, which is due to take place on Thursday 12th September 2019 at Edgbaston Stadium and Conference Centre, Birmingham.
The Glazing Summit is a one-day jam-packed conference covering industry consolidation, mergers & acquisitions through to smart technology and the latest trends.
The event will attract representatives from throughout the supply chain including fabricators, installers, trade-counters, glass processors, systems houses and component suppliers. In 2018, over 400 leaders from across the glass and glazing industry – with combined UK sales of over £1billion – came together for the conference – and it proved a resounding success.
This year will see a fresh new line-up of key-note speakers, including respected industry leaders, trailblazers and proven experts, across two stages. They will focus on a range of topics relevant to the industry and the wider market such as best practice, growth, profitability and consolidation. It promises to be a truly unmissable event for all in the industry.
As part of the GGF’s sponsorship agreement, one of the Federation’s commercial companies BFRC (British Fenestration Rating Council) is also a sponsor. Anda Gregory, MD of the GGF Commercial companies comments: “We are pleased to be a sponsor of the Glazing Summit. Following the strong debates in the BFRC Fabricator’s Forum, earlier this year, we are looking to continue the discussions on topics such as energy efficiency, regulations and industry and consumer awareness of the value of energy ratings. It promises to be a great event.”
Organiser Andrew Scott, MD of the Ascot Group comments: “I’m delighted the GGF has agreed to be our headline sponsor and that BFRC will also be a sponsor of this unique event. The industry really got behind the Glazing Summit last year and I feel the calibre of names that have already committed to the event shows how valuable it is. Last year, the event broke new ground and as the market matures, a platform for CEO’s and business leaders to come together, learn and share information has become paramount.”
