Gilberts air conditioning delivers ultimate comfort at hotel rebuild

  • 19 Oct 2016

A four-star hotel in Douglas on the Isle of Man has undergone a £6 million, three-year rebuild to help “blend modern hotel provisions with a historic setting.”

The Mannin Hotel features Gilberts (Blackpool) air conditioning, delivered in all guest bedrooms and major public areas using British designed and engineered grilles.

Gilberts’ Series L extruded aluminium linear bar grilles were specified in conjunction with Series GSL diffusers, in addition to Series DGA louvred face ceiling diffusers and Series GECA-RC egg-crate extract grilles for effective air movement.

The units were installed at height, counterbalancing the underfloor heating, to ensure an effective yet draught-free throw of air into the rooms, as well as extraction, to maintain a comfortable, fresh environment for guests.
