Air movement manufacturer Gilberts of Blackpool has expanded and restructured its commercial team with the appointment of two new sales managers.

As part of the company’s strategy to give architects, specifiers and M&E consultants an enhanced specialist service, Pete Sedgwick and Seb Rowe have been appointed national sales manager and northern area sales manager respectively.

Pete, 54, brings a raft of brand, product and industry expertise to his new role, having been with Gilberts for close to 20 years.

West Yorkshire-born Seb, 31, joins Gilberts from within the HVAC and air movement industry.

Sales Director Ian Rogers commented: “Gilberts has a reputation for its quality, bespoke service and its ability to address and solve, in-house, complex air movement strategies, be they mechanical, natural, heat recovery or any combination.”

The appointments of Pete and Seb enable us to build on our strengths and deliver even better support to customers, existing and new.”

The developments within the sales team follow the opening of Gilberts new air movement test centre, which is the only one of its kind available in-house amongst ventilation manufacturers.

The test centre features a new range of terminals which fuse natural ventilation and heat transfer without the need for an exchanger.

The company has also recently created a bespoke solution to mimic air movement within a tropical rain forest.

Gilberts is one of the UK’s largest air movement specialists, now employing almost 300 people at its 80,000ft2 head office and manufacturing facility in Blackpool.
