Gilberts offering ventilation CPD

  • 3 Aug 2018

Gilberts Blackpool is offering ‘lunch and learn’ continuous professional development presentations, focusing on getting a building’s ventilation right.

Britain’s leading independent provider of air movement solutions is widely recognised as the ‘go to’ organisation for ventilation technical knowledge, with the company’s technical team regularly present to building services graduates, and sit on numerous relevant committees for BSI, CIBSE and HEVAC.

Under the new programme, consultants and contractors can pick any or all of the topics, depending on requirements.

Initial topics addressed are:

  • selection basics, including strategies, velocities, inlet/outlet positioning, heating and cooling options
  • component overview including types available (eg grilles, diffusers, louvres), fixing methods, aesthetic options (borders, finish)
  • product selection, encompassing room layouts, throws, noise levels, pressure drops.

Ian Rogers, Gilberts Sales Director, commented: “Products and technology are constantly evolving, hence the need for such CPD sessions.

“We have designed our sessions to address the issues we most commonly get asked about, utilising our expertise as the market leader, and practical experience, to help our customers’ staff get it right from the outset.”
