GLASSOLUTIONS has been recognised and accredited as a UK commercial vehicle fleet operator.
The company owns a fleet of 87 delivery vehicles, including vans, LGV and HGV, which it uses to transport its glazing systems throughout the UK. It has recently achieved the silver level requirements of the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS).
The accreditation reflects GLASSOLUTIONS commitment to investing in new, high quality vehicles; offering driver training; and providing strict environmental performance management.
The FORS Silver standard is awarded to commercial vehicle operators, from across the European fleet industry, that promote best practice in logistic management and the transport sector.
The FORS is an independent body with almost 4,300 accredited members; all of which are subject to review every twelve months.
GLASSOLUTIONS believes that its latest achievement reflects its commitment to safety, efficiency and environmental protection before, during and beyond the point of production. It aims to achieve the Gold standard by its next review.
According to the company’s Head of Marketing, Adam Taylor, measuring, monitoring and improving GLASSOLUTIONS’ logistical performance is integral to its success.
He comments: “Obtaining FORS standard accreditation demonstrates how we provide our customers with reliability assurance as their glass and glazing supply chain partner.”
