Glassolutions, part of the international Saint-Gobain group, collected the award at a ceremony hosted by comedian Kevin Bridges at the Hilton Park Lane Hotel in London.
Research project at the Energy House
Glassolutions won the award for its contribution to the research project at the Energy House at Salford University. This scientific study measured the contribution that the glass provided by Glassolutions makes to the energy performance of the whole house, as well as the performance of the windows.
Glassolutions marketing director Mike Butterick: ñWinning the Environmental Initiative of the Year award is a fantastic achievement which recognises the company’s commitment to developing sustainable products and processes. Glassolutions is the only glass company in the UK to have tested glass in this way and can offer our customers complete assurance of its performance.
Glassolutions are planning Phase 2 to further develop the research and the data will impact on future product development and investment in energy saving solutions
