Leading building products manufacturer Glidevale Protect will be hosting a demonstration on best practice in cavity tray installation at the NHBC’s BEYOND ‘25 LIVE event in Coventry this March.
Glidevale Protect’s practical session will be held on the Skills and Demo Stage at 11:10am on Thursday 20 March. The demonstration will be led by Glidevale Protect’s Technical Training Manager Andrew Mathers, supported by Leigh Jakeman, Principal Trainer at the NHBC Training Hub in Tamworth and will focus on the correct installation process for pre-formed cavity trays, including the use of catchment, intermediate and apex trays.
Glidevale Protect is recognised as a market leader in the manufacture and supply of a wide range of cavity tray solutions to prevent rain penetration in brick, block or random stone external masonry walls for the new build sector, able to supply on a plot by plot basis to housebuilders.
It offers comprehensive technical support services, including design take-off and guidance at the early stages to on-site toolbox talks for installation guidance in order to support housebuilders and bricklayers.
In the last year, the team has worked closely with the NHBC to deliver insightful training at NHBC Training Hubs in the UK and the demo at BEYOND ’25 LIVE is the latest NHBC event – with the aim of sharing best practise on cavity tray installation using pre-formed trays, which are required for complicated junctions as per NHBC Standards 2025.
Held at the CBS Arena in Coventry, BEYOND ’25 LIVE is NHBC’s national conference, bringing together leading experts in house building to explore regulations, innovation and construction quality, as the industry continues to evolve rapidly to deliver homes of the future.
