Hemsec: For projects where time means money – with sustainability built in

  • 3 Mar 2022

SIPs are a great way to bring young people into construction, and build projects quickly, claims Hemsec – this two-minute video explains more.

If you are increasingly under pressure to find reliable workers, and to source materials quickly, then using SIPs for your main building fabric could provide you with a real business lift.

It takes just six to seven weeks to teach people to build with SIPs. It also makes it much easier to plan follow-on trades. Watch the video featuring a stunning building completed in just three weeks.

Two-to-four weeks’ delivery of materials

Much fewer building materials are needed with a SIPs construction and, as Hemsec BBA-accredited, high-quality SIPs are readily available within two-to-four weeks from order at the time of writing, a project can be underway very quickly. Once the SIPs have been delivered, an entire building envelope can be up in a few days. As this process is less affected by adverse weather conditions, it saves even more time.

Get involved

Hemsec is a values-driven manufacturer, whose brand is implicitly trusted by the industry for its quality and ethics. The company is committed to making a difference in the UK. This is achieved by supporting training for SIPs, both through extending its partnership with charity Apple Cast.
