HMG Paints is further growing its support for the UK Agricultural and Machinery Market in 2024, courtesy of an expanded distributor network and product support.
The company has seen a growth in opportunities since Brexit and the pandemic, and this is evidenced by its paints and coatings appearing on many stands at the 2024 LAMMA Show, including the Teagle Machinery Ltd stand.
Supply chain disruption with European products, caused by COVID, Brexit and ongoing supply issues across the globe has seen HMG partner up with a number of UK companies and supply products including primers, topcoats, DTM’s and tinted products with short lead times across the UK.
Companies looking inward for suppliers is highlighted in the fourth annual report into ‘Buying British’, with 66% of respondents saying they are starting to order more British made goods. Additionally, half of the country’s businesses (47%) and even more of the public (58%) saying they prefer to buy products that have been manufactured in the UK over alternatives imported from other countries, the 2023 ‘Buying British’ Survey was conducted by Made in Britain and OnePoll.
Danny Cleary, Commercial Director of HMG Paints, comments: “We’re exceptionally proud to be a British paint manufacturer in an industry dominated by Multi-National Enterprises. All of our products are made right here in Manchester, and this allows us to quickly service our customers paint and coatings requirements, direct or via our distribution network.”
Within the Agricultural market, Acrythane SC601 is fast becoming the go to product for both OEM’s and Refinishers alike. Acrythane SC601, a high solids 2K Acrylic, offers outstanding properties, including rapid drying and simplicity of use. Acrythane SC601 produces striking finish and exceptional durability and is ideal for the ACE (Agricultural and Construction Equipment) and Restoration market places.
Not only does Acrythane SC601 provide an impeccable finish, but it also offers excellent protection against harsh weather conditions and atmospheric pollution. Its resilience ensures that equipment and machinery retain its beauty and functionality for years to come.
One of the many advocates of Acrythane SC601 is James Cardus, of of Classic Vintage Tractor Restorations, who uses the system in the restoration of vintage tractors and equipment.
He says: “We have been using HMG Acrythane SC601 for many years now, we are extremely happy with the excellent finish it produces as standard. Even more so our customers love the finish and happy customers are the most important thing for us.”
HMG Paints takes pride in its commitment to quality, and Acrythane SC601 is no exception. Available in a wide range of sheen level and colours, including 2,400 in the ColourBase Colour Box
The HMG Paints ColourBase Colour Box is an identification tool that presents over 2400 colour chips, displayed in chromatic order within 20 fan decks. The ColourBase Colour Box is a multi-function tool, in the sense that not only each colour has a chromatic code that identifies its position in the colour sequence, but it also corresponds to a colour existing on the market for reference.
The colours contained in the box, available in a counter top version or carry case, are sourced from a number of popular colour systems, including RAL, British Standard, Agricultural, Commercial Vehicle, Fleet Colours, Afnor and more. Additionally, the box contains colours with chromatic continuity to ensure that distributors can find the perfect colour for every customer.
The colours in the box aren’t contained to just the one HMG System though they can be matched in a myriad of 1K and 2K products including; C71 Speedline, a high quality ‘2 hour’ drying time Synthetic Alkyd Enamel, 1K DTM a high-quality single coat finish and CFB, new two-component, high solids polyurethane system.
Roger Blinco, HMG Paints Southern Technical Sales Manager, comments: “It’s wonderful to see our paint being used on products that will be at the LAMMA Show, and the feedback has been fantastic from the customers.
“We’ve developed some great new partnerships over the last 24 months or so and that is a credit to the work of the team in Manchester producing great paints and also the support of our Distributor network.”
