Recticel Insulation joins home renovation organisation

Home renovation industry benefits from Recticel’s input

Recticel Insulation has announced its position on the National Home Improvement Council (NHIC), offering advice and guidance to the home renovation industry.

Paul Forrester, the company’s technical specialist, has obtained a seat on the National Home Improvement Council (NHIC), which has maintained close working relationships with local authorities, private householders, landlords, housing associations and Government for more than two decades.

The council aims to provide advice and information on home renovation and improvements to the UK, which has Europe’s oldest and most thermally inefficient housing stock.

Paul represents Recticel Insulation in bi-monthly steering group meetings, where he works alongside British Gas, the NFRC and other companies, associations and accreditation providers.

With experience in working with distributors, contractors and specifiers, Paul is playing a key role in establishing the NHIC’s retrofit and refurbishment agenda. This has been inspired by climate change, rising energy prices and the Government’s denunciation of the Green Deal.

In addition to contributing to the NHIC’s steering group and interacting with various decision makers, Recticel Insulation also supports a number of council initiatives, such as the NHIC’s annual awards for construction excellence.
