Hot weather leads to increase in demand for deck boards

  • 26 Jul 2016

The beginning of the summer season has prompted a surge in renovation and home improvement projects throughout Britain; subsequently, Euroseal has experienced an increase in demand for its deck boards.

Manufacturing a range of decking solutions for the construction market, Euroseal can cater for main contractors and developers, as well as smaller builders and home improvement companies. As its products are available through Deck Supermarket, they can also be purchased for use by DIY enthusiasts.

Whilst the majority of the company’s decking business goes to new build developments, a recent increase in smaller renovation and home improvement work has caused demand to peak in the domestic market.

Increase in demand for deck boards

House extension projects are seen as a means to obtain additional space, without having to move to a new home. In the case of older properties, which often boast more outside space than contemporary dwellings, expanding into the garden is a popular practice; it enables homeowners to increase square footage and extend their living space.

Projects of this sort require a complete reconstruction of the patio area. This has resulted in a surge in demand for Euroseal’s deck boards and decking products.

As a low maintenance landscaping solution, its decking is often specified in garden redesigning products. The company attributes this success to advances in plastic extrusion and its investment in new manufacturing equipment, which has enabled it to refine the design of its decking products.
