Contour understands that in some environments, such as schools and nurseries, there is a chance of pencils and other small items like pens and crayons being pushed through LST radiator covers. Therefore, its LST radiators have been designed in such as a way that, if this happens, retrieving the items is simple, quick and easy.
In hygiene conscious environments, such as schools, it’s vital that LST radiators are regularly cleaned to
remove dust and germs that could result in increased absenteeism if they are left unchecked.
That’s why Contour has partnered with Rotarad to include their rotating radiator valves in the design of our LST radiators. This means that the radiators can be lowered to floor level when they are cleaned allowing staff to easily remove any items, such as paper, that may have been pushed through into the cover. Therefore, minimising the risk of blockages.
However, if a lot of items do build up over time and are not removed, this can cause a reduction in heat output from the LST radiator as heat will not be able to properly be expelled into the room.
Rotarad is WRAS, KTW and ACS approved and can be installed onto new and existing LST radiators.
Additional benefits of the Rotarad system are:
– Flame-free installation
– Simple and fast to fit and operate
– Reliable, safe and economic
– A design life of 50 years minimum
– Can be rotated through 360 degrees
– Slimline, unobtrusive and paintable
Other benefits of installing Rotarad into LST radiators are that instead of it taking two people taking thirty minutes to clean one radiator, Contour radiators can be cleaned by one person in just ten minutes. In the education system where budgets are constantly being made tighter, this can be a huge benefit. Additionally, staff are then free to complete other tasks because spaces can be turned around faster.
Ultimately, Contour’s LST radiators provide the ideal solution for schools and nurseries, as it is easy to remove items, they are safer than most LST radiators, and save time and money when it comes to cleaning.
