IKO debates construction in BMBI Round Table

Recently, the Builders Merchants Federation (BMF) hosted the Builders Merchant Building Index’s (BMBI) second annual Round Table debate at its Coventry-based office, which saw IKO‘s Group Managing Director Andy Williamson in attendance.

The debate saw BMBI Experts discuss topical issues and possible implications for the industry; the event included BMF Chairman Peter Hindle and MRA Marketing’s CEO Mike Rigby.

BMBI Experts involved included IKO’s Andy Williamson (pictured), plus representatives from Knauf Insulation, Timbmet, Hanson Cement, Keystone Lintels, Keylite Roof Windows, Heatrae Sadia, Ibstock, Natural Paving Products and Alumasc Water Management Solutions.

The debate covered five major topics, these being digitalisation & Omnichannel selling, the effect of Brexit on the industry, skills, materials shortages & capacity, economy & inflation and the Grenfell Tower tragedy & its implications.
