3,000m2 of IKO Mach One has been used on the refurbishment of a roof at Conyers School in Stockton-on-Tees.

Faithful+Gould, project management consultancy, requested that IKO PLC carry out a comprehensive survey for the academy. The flame-free, sustainable and fast-fit system, IKO Mach One was recommended, guaranteeing reliable waterproofing and protection for at least 20 years.

Five areas of roof sections at the secondary school and sixth form called for immediate replacement due to their poor condition and a further three were replaced shortly afterwards.

“It was essential that the replacement roofs were reliable and would last as long as possible. The IKO Mach One membrane comes with a 20-year warranty providing the superior cover and protection the school requires,” explains Stephen Mooney, Area Business Manager for IKO Roofing Specification.

Roofing contractor John Flowers Ltd carried out the installation over 14 weeks during the summer to coincide with the school holidays and therefore reduce any potential disruption.
