Aluminium window, door and commercial glazing fabricators are increasing their product range to capitalise on new opportunities, says industry experts Insight Data.
Insight Data carries out continuous research across the industry and has recorded 30 fabricators adding an additional aluminium system to their range in the last 3 months alone.
The increase spans the residential, light commercial and architectural glazing markets. Fabricators are offering trade and residential customers a wider choice of products and specifications, while systems companies are becoming more active in having their products specified by architects, presenting commercial and architectural glazing contractors with new opportunities.
Jade Greenhow, operations manager at Insight Data: “Aluminium systems companies are clearly becoming more active and keen to develop their fabricator base. We’ve seen 3 new aluminium fabricators set up in the last 3 months, but it’s the number of companies taking on additional systems that is truly remarkable. The aluminium market has enjoyed significant growth in recent times, particularly in the residential market fuelled by bi-folding doors and increased demand for large-span patio doors, but it seems aluminium systems companies are now stepping up their activity across the window, door and façade market in general.”
Insight Data provides regular analysis of the construction and building products market and has the UK’s most comprehensive database of construction firms, architects, small builders, and window, door and conservatory suppliers, with over 60,000 contacts and 50,000 verified email addresses.
