Stroma Certification exclusive new insurance product

The new insurance product has been developed in partnership with a leading UK insurer.

Core insurance product automatically includes:

  • £2million  Public and Products Liability
  • up to £5,000 tools cover,
  • Commercial Legal Protection
  • loss of money from the home or after an assault
  • one-stop support website

There is also a host of optional extras which can be bolted onto the core product to fully customise the level of protection based upon the specific business requirements.

Optional cover is available for:

  • van insurance
  • business equipment & stock
  • personal accident
  • additional tools cover
  • employers’ liability
  • plus other areas

The Stroma Insurance Services team will quote for business insurance based on a collaborative discussion which assesses and analyses the business as a whole. Their experts will recommend a level of insurance cover which allows business owners, installers and tradespersons to focus on their day-to-day jobs and running their business.

In addition to the flexible cover options available, Stroma is providing a choice of payments, which include monthly instalments. There is no deposit required so the policy can be paid off in small, manageable sums.

Who is eligible for insurance?

The insurance is eligible for plumbing, heating and ventilation contractors to solar installation, electricians and energy assessors. It is available exclusively to members of their Green Deal Installer, Microgeneration Certification Scheme and Competent Person Schemes – as part of a programme of benefits including free technical support, free software and free van stickers.

Andy Sharp, Commercial Manager at Stroma: “Stroma Insurance combines our knowledge of the installer industry with the experience of one of the UK’s most prominent insurers. We are committed to providing our members a complete package of support through our Installer Certification Schemes and this latest addition means we can use existing understanding of our members’ businesses to tailor the right insurance protection on a one-to-one basis.”
