Irish orangery gets dazzling daylight from Brett Martin

A new orangery in an Irish hotel has seen Brett Martin Daylight Systems supply a Ritchlight skylights package to create a welcoming environment for guests and staff.

Located in the south of the country, Ballyseede Castle Hotel, which harks back to the 1500s, features a new extension, including an orangery, entrance lobby, toilets and ancillary service areas.

Brett Martin Daylight Systems were specified to supply a visually arresting daylight solution, consisting a Ritchlight Ultra skylight system, glazed in toughened glass, which also needed to blend serenely with the character of the historic building.

Manufactured with an aluminium frame and powdercoated in a light ivory colour to meet the client’s requests, the fully thermally broken skylight system was fabricated and precision-engineered at Brett Martin’s Coventry factory, before assembly and installation by a specialist contractor on site.

Ritchlight Ultra is hugely popular and a highly adaptable glazing system, able to provide specifiers with a versatile method to develop architecturally incredible pitched skylights in a range of sizes, frame colours and glazing options.
