Keller Kitchens, the leading Dutch kitchen manufacturer, has made significant strides in expanding its operations with a series of bold investments aimed at increasing production capacity and reinforcing the company’s pioneering commitment to sustainability.
Recently commissioned in anticipation of delivering on ambitious plans, these upgrades will increase the capacity of Keller’s mammoth Bergen op Zoom factory by an impressive 30%.
This year’s investments include the installation of the largest piece of equipment ever introduced to the facility. The centrepiece of the new development is a state-of-the-art production line spanning nearly an entire factory hall, integrating a dual-edge laser saw with dual-edge laser edge banding and large-scale board cassette handling. This cutting-edge technology not only enhances production efficiency, it also plays a key role in Keller’s sustainability initiatives, helping to eradicate waste, increase flexibility, and maintain the company’s renowned quality standards.
Alongside this, Keller has rolled out new fully automated tall and midi-height assembly line, designed to streamline production processes further and reduce manual handling. The company has also expanded its use of collaborative robots (Cobots) to handle repetitive sorting and lifting tasks, making operations even more efficient while offering valuable welfare benefits to employees. With more Cobots set to be introduced in the near future, Keller is poised to continue its focus on innovation and employee well-being.
Tim Spann, Head of Sales for Keller UK, comments: “We are excited to be entering the next phase of growth and development at Keller Kitchens.
“These investments underscore our commitment to meeting the increasing demand for high-quality, sustainably produced kitchens, both for retail and contract markets. Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do, and these latest advancements are a testament to our dedication to achieving operational excellence while reducing our environmental impact.”
The new production lines at Keller’s Bergen op Zoom facility are already running smoothly, with the company anticipating even greater efficiency and output as demand for sustainable kitchen solutions continues to rise.
Keller Kitchens continues to lead the way in the kitchen manufacturing industry, setting the standard for quality, innovation, and environmental responsibility as it prepares for a successful 2025 and beyond.
