“I am pretty chatty, so meeting customers has been a real highlight of the job so far,” he explains.

“Aged 17, I spent some time learning basic carpentry and then moved into the building products industry, from warehouses to operations and sales, this role is a really good opportunity to build on that background.

“Kestrel has a strong reputation for quality products, and so when I was looking for a new challenge this was a natural fit for me.”

The keen golfer, Portsmouth FC fan, and father of two will be working with customers along the south coast, near to his home base of Southampton.

Jonathan Boland, Kestrel Sales Director, says: “We are delighted to welcome Zak to his position as Business Development Manager for the South Coast.

“His breadth of experience in the industry will be a real asset in this role and sometime soon we also look forward to testing out those golfing skills!”
