Kestrel’s John Gunn pipes up for Hogmanay

  • 14 Dec 2022

While most of us start to think about Christmas, Kestrel’s Regional Sales Director for the North John Gunn already has his New Year plans in the bag.

The Scot will be piping in Hogmanay at the renowned Gleneagles Hotel, with his high-energy bagpipe band Gutty Slippers.

The band, which has also played for stars and at a Champions League Final, was recently flown to Turkey for a multi-millionaire’s party.

John explains: “Sir Brian Souter decided to lay on a party to celebrate the £550m sale of his Stagecoach business with his loyal staff, we were absolutely delighted to be asked play – even more so when we discovered the venue was in Istanbul!”

As a life-long rugby player, team is important for John and it’s what has kept him at Kestrel.

He continues: “I started with Kestrel in 2006 and there have been significant changes in the intervening years, but it’s always been about quality and reliable products for our customers.

“As an organisation we have a very good team in place now – not just in business development, but right across the organisation. Whatever the department or job function, we are all pulling in the same direction and that focus benefits our customers.”
